O ok yeah elder Olsen leaves tomorrow.

It was great to be able to hear from you.  It seems like you are doing really well. You are super busy which is great but don't get to busy.  Always remember to keep the basics going in your life; reading, praying and going to church. I thank you for your letters they are always so great.  Just let me know if everything works out for school if not I'm sure it will all be ok and we can figure it out sometime.  I'm excited to be able to get a package.  You know you really don't have to send them.  They are nice though.  

This week was a crazy week. One of my companions is going home this week.  It's kind of crazy to think that I would have been going home right now as well.  This week made me sick thinking about how fast the time has gone by.  It seems like just yesterday I was saying goodbye to you at the MTC.  I hope that me extending my mission was not a selfish move that I made.  I'm sorry if it was.  Know that I love you and care about you.  I pray for you every night as well.  I love you so much!  These next four weeks I am going to live up and do as much as I can to build the kingdom of God being a full time missionary.  

This week was a crazy week with a lot of meetings.  We weren't able to do a lot of contacting or teaching this week.  Taylor and Mat the couple that I told you about last week have set a firm date of being baptized on July 12.  It was sad that we had to pass them off to a family ward, but it's great because their making covenants!  One really sweet thing that happened this week was that I was able to go to the temple with my departing group.  The new videos are way sweet!  They bring a whole new life to the Fall and the Plan of Salvation.  As I was sitting in the temple the thought that just kept coming to my mind was how sacred the role of a woman is in the plan of salvation. It's amazing to see Eve and how she new exactly what she must do to move forward the work of Father. Even hours she knew that it was going to add greater heart ache and stress she absolutely knew that this was going to bring all the joy the Father has. I am so great filmdom the temple and the inspiration that comes as we are there. The symblism of the Savior is so rich in the temple that is truly His house.  I know that this is the Lords kingdom.  I know that He is the head of this work.  I know that as we follow the promptings of the spirit and seek to have the spirit in our life always that we can truly become like our father.  I know with all my heart that the Book or Mormon is true and is the word of God!  I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Sweet I am excited.  The temple is sweet.

I guess that's one way to look at me extending.  Probably not we might just go to the baptism and support them there.  Yes we got to go to my dream temple the Washington, D.C. Temple.

I meant though and seeing the new films.

Ok I understand. 

I honestly love being a missionary.  I am also scared to death to go home.  I really don't want to do that at all.  There's just nothing better and being able to work in the kingdom of God and constantly have his spirit.

I am.  I'm not sure I will think about that and let you know.

Yes just for a little bit

Dear family,

Mom I am so sorry for not e-mailing you that password sooner.  When one of the assistants is going home President and Sister Wilson take us to any historical site that we wanted to see in the mission so that was this p-day.  We ended up going to Monticello and James Monroes house.  It was a lot of fun but I am super sorry about that.  Hopefully everything went well... If not it will all be ok!  It sounds like you've had a lot to do and in the up coming weeks even more to do.  You are going to be busy busy busy.  I hope that you had a very good week and that everything is going great.

This week was really cool.  We had the blessing of having Elder Perkins a member of the seventy come to our mission and do a mission tour.  Just a fun fact Elder Perkins son playing for the Bryton team that we beat in the semi-final game the year we won state.  We instantly had some stuff to talk about.  They were amazing people we were able to learn so much as a mission and are very eager to apply it.  Lots of really cool things that occurred.

We were able to see Charley Farmer be baptized this weekend.  It was a super huge blessing to be able to be a part of that.  He was a friend of Perla Corona the young lady that got baptized two week ends ago.  He said that he was looking for a home and is so great fun that he finally found one.  It is so amazing to be able to see how the Lord is preparing his children for the gospel of Jesus Christ.  I love this work!  There is nothing greater than putting on the white shirt and tie every day and serving the Lord.

About a month ago my companion and I decided to listen to nothing but the Mormon tabernacle choir.  We were trying to fine toon our life's to the spirit so that we could do His work His way.  We instantly saw miracles.  As we were finding people would listen to us more often and they wanted to set up appointments more often as well.  We saw so many great blessing but then these last couple of weeks we literally saw the windows of heaven open up.  We had been working with the young lady for not to long and she decided to be baptized really quickly.  While we were teaching her she invited one of her friends to come to church with her.  He came, we taught him and he just got baptized this week end.  You would think that these last two weeks couldn't get any better but here comes one of the greatest miracles ever!  We had been teaching this unmarried couple for about two weeks.  He was a returning member that called us and asked if we could sit down and teach him and his nonmember girl friend.  The commitment we had left them was to read the Restoration pamphlet.  They came back with some questions.  They asked about the law of chastity and if they would have to get married in order for her to be baptized.  They said that they were going to talk about it and see what they were going to do. This lesson happened on a Tuesday, we set up a lesson for Friday.  As soon as they get out of there car they come over to us and say, "So we did it.  We are married."  My companions had to scrape me up off the pavement.  God opened up the windows of heaven and let this huge miracle occur.  I know that as we are more obedient in the Lords work miracles will occur.  I know that as we purify our life we can understand how to follow his spirit more clearly.  I know with all my heart that my Savior lives and loves each and everyone of us.  I know that this church is the true church of God once again established here on this earth.  I know the gospel is true and I love my Savior.  I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

I just thank you so much for all that you've done for me and all that you continue to do for me.  Thank you so much!  It means so much to me that I have such a supportive family.  You mean the world to me.  Thank you for all that you've done for me.  I love you!  Have a great week with all my love from Virginia.

This week has been a great week we have been super blessed with so many great things.  We were able to help a lot of missionaries this week with exchanges.  It is such a blessing to be in the service of your fellow beings.  Thank you so much for doing my uvu stuff.  I'm sorry that I had to add to your already busy week with all of Devin's stuff as well.  It sounds like you had a really fun week though. Mad I'm sitting here it seems like just yesterday I was writing you last week.  Hmm crazy how fast time flies.  I will have to send you the picture of Perla at her baptism.  It sounds like the summer is fun for you!

Everyday we are able to find a person that is seeking the truth but doesn't know where to find it. There are so many blessing and miracles around every corner if we look for them and see them for what they are we will always feel the love of a loving Heavenly Father. On exchanges this week I had on of the most amazing miracles happen. Elder White and I were out finding and we walked up to this lady on the porch. I thought to myself that this lady probably won't want to talk but let's try it anyway. (I know, "really Elder Adams where is your faith?"). Anyway we started talking to her and she slowly began to open up to the idea of religion and finding peace in her life. We were just sitting there and Elder White being moved upon by the spirit talked about the plan of salvation. He gave her a brief over view and this lady just broke down. She had been going through so much in her life is with people dying and her husband get altimers. She didn't know where or what to do to find peace, she said that lately she doesn't want to come home after work. We testified with all our hearts that she would find happiness through Jesus Christ and his gospel. Her countenance changed and she now wants to be baptized on July the 7th. I love this gospel President with all my heart! There is no doubt in my mind that we are called by God. I know that the Lord invests in us his power to do His work. I love my savior with all my heart. I know that he lives and that he loves each and everyone of his children. I know that it is through his atonement that we can be forgiven of sin. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, amen!

This morning my companions and I were talking about miracles.  I think that as members of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints we should expect miracles and recognize them when they happen.  We are members of God's true church here on this earth we have the opportunity to be able to see miracles on a daily bases.  How can we do this?  We live in the presence of the Holy Ghost!  As a baptized member we can have the spirit as our constant companion.  This means that God is will to guide us in ALL that we do.  Are we a blank slate actively waiting for when the Lord calls we act?  I know that as we strive to live in he presence of the Holy Ghost that it is then when we can build up his kingdom.  I know that we will see miracles big and small that will be as Peter walking on the water.  I know that it is through His power that these things are done.  I love my savior and I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Hope the rest of this week goes great.  I love you and thank you so much for all that you do.  You are an amazing mom!  The best mom of the west and the whole wide world!  I love you so so so much!  I will be sending you a copy of my goals here soon.  I would love for you to look them over with Dad and keep me accountable to them.  Thank you love you!  Have a great week.  With all my love from Virginia.

Some stuff he left behind.

This week was a crazy week.  We had a lot of things going on. The reason why I wasn't able to write you last week was because we had meetings all week long.  We had to roll out all the iPads to every zone.  That consisted of double meetings starting on Monday and going tell Friday.  Really long week but a great one!  When you sign up for classes mom I want you to set me up with a full schedule (18 credits). I know that you don't want to do that but, "Greater love hath no man than this."  Please help me fulfill my goals.  I love you!    

We knew that with all the zone meetings this week that we were going to have to use the moments that we did have to there fullest.  It was amazing to be able to see Perla Corona be baptized this weekend.  She was so prepared!  Elder Olsen and I, before Elder Wray got here, had talked to her but had lost contact with her for a while.  We ended up getting back in contact with her and taught her a very power Restoration lesson.  At the end of it she had no doubt in her mind that she wanted to baptized.  

Another sweet miracle that happened this week happened with a less-active.  We were out finding on Saturday and Elder Olsen got a call for this guy.  He said that he wanted to come to come back to church.  He had been going through a rough patch in his life but knew that the church was going to be what would help him out.  Elder Olsen being the awesome missionary that he is asked if there was anyone that he could invite to come with him. He said he would bring his non-member girl friend.  We were able to sit down with them that night and talk with them about the Atonement of Jesus Christ.  It was so powerful to see how much they needed this message of the gospel.  She is set to be baptized on the 27th of June.  I know that God is preparing all his children.  From that lesson I set a personal goal that if the Lord ever needs anyone to help anyone out he can count on Elder Adams.  There have been to many times I feel that people have been crying out for help but no one will help them.  I know that the Savior does not want that and neither do I.  I love my savior with all my heart.  I know that he lives.  The Atonement is a real power and I know that if we let it it will change our very nature.  I know that this gospel has been restored.  I know with all my heart that Joseph Smith was a prophet and I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen. 

I love and thank you for everything that you've done for me.  Thank you so much I love you.  Keep having fun with all the hikes and fun things like that.  It was great to be able to see you are being a missionary.  Keep up the good work.  Always invite them to be baptized!  I love you!  My official release date will be August 3.  You should be getting an email here soon about it.  Thank you so much!
