Spring Time

Hey I'm on!
Just got it!  How's life
Mom you sounds stressed again.
Just the way your e-mail sounded.
hahaha ok as long as you say your good.  Wanna know something cool?
So out 2013 Chevy truck had 80,000 Miles on it, so this week we got a new truck.  It's a new 2015 Chevy Silverado and we just barley broke 100 miles on it.  Can you say #newcarsmell.
Haha cuz we have to pull a trailer sometimes or help people move stuff.  HAHAHA and mom just be patient he has a lot on his plate.
hahaha that's funny. There was a line for patience;)  Remember it's just stuff and everything will work out.

This week was a great week.  It sounds like you all had a really great week.  Sounds like you are all keeping extremely busy which is always really good.  That is way awesome that Josh graduated from the U.  I guess you could say that he's a real Ute now.  It sounds like you spend a lot of time with Army and Dot haha.  Almost every week you tell me that you went and visited them.  That is really sweet it's good to know that you and Dad are not just spending time alone on your Sundays.  Honestly I'm not sure what you can send me.  I feel like I spend way to much money anyway.
This week was a great week in Virginia.  We had a lot of meetings that we had to go to.  There these things called zone workshops were we travel the mission and teach the missionaries how to be more effective teachers.  It's pretty sweet.  A lot of the same meeting but still way sweet on the revelation that you receive.  We were able to do that and then we were able to do some finding through out the week.  We met this one lady yesterday that was golden and prepared out of her mind.  She was sitting on a bench where we were talking to people.  My companion and I decided to go and talk with her.  She had been going through a very tough time in her life and was looking to have a better relationship with God.  We asked her if we could say a prayer with her and share with her a quick message.  As we began talking to her she started talking about how she has weaknesses and all she is looking for a is a stable job and an really wants to be able to have a family.  We shared with her Ether 12:27 and she loved it.  She took a Book of Mormon and is really excited to be able to read it and learn more about the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  It was so amazing to see how that one verse of the Book of Mormon changed everything.  I know that that book is true with all my heart.  I know that it is a testament of Jesus Christ.  I know that it has the Restored Gospel and that if we live Faith, Repentance, Baptism, Receiving the Gift of the Holy Ghost, and Enduring to the End we can find the answers to our prayers.  I know that Jesus Christ lives and that he loves each and everyone of us.  I know that this church is true.  I know that this work is a work of eternity.  I love my Savior and I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
We had a really cool opportunity to hear a broadcast yesterday of two general authorities for the North East North American Region.  It was really cool.  Elder Hales said that we need to understand 6 Doctrines; Baptism and Sacrament(Atonement), Priesthood, Temple, Covenants, Divine calling of Joseph Smith, The Book of Mormon.  I am going to focus my studies on these and I invite you to do so as well.  I love you so much and hope that you have a great week.  You are the best with all my love from Virginia.

No we are actually going to the ZOO today.  It's free for missionaries because it's owned by a member.
No you are totally fine.
Ok well I got to go.  I love you and hope you have a great week!!!  With all my love from Virginia.

hahahaha so I decided to extend.  I will be extending a month after my original date which is Aug. 3.
hahaha Mom tell me what's on your mind.
hmmm interesting... lovely drama.  How can I help you mom?  You seem super stressed these past couple of e-mails.
because I can.  So how can I help?
Mom I love you you are great!  Just keep your head up.  This is the load that you need it's only going to make you stronger.  Keep pushing and the Lord will truly look out for you.  I know that to be true because it's happened to me multiple times on my mission.  I love you so much you are the greatest mom in the whole world!  I have to go though I love you and will pray for you with all my Love!

Well that sounds exciting with all that stuff going on.  I hope that everything is going well at the doctors today.  It seems like you and Dad are constantly at the doctors now a days.  I hope that everything is going ok.  Well last week I took your advice and I can not think of anything better than being able to serve a mission.  It really is the greatest thing that I have ever done.  I was able to talk to my mission President about extending and he said that that would be just fine.  I will now be departing the Virginia Richmond mission a month after my original date.  The date is now August the 3.  That's right tack on another month!!!!  I am so excited and feel so blessed to be able to serve the Lord even more.  This has been such a blessing and I can't wait to be able to serve him.  Thank you for supporting me and letting me do this.  It's crazy I don't know if Devin told you but he will be coming to Richmond for law school.  It is way sweet.  He is going to love the campus here.  It's way beautiful.  I actually have not been able to go and serve on it because it's a closed campus.

This week was a great week!  Elder Olsen and I were able to do a lot of finding and going and helping other missionaries in there areas.  It was awesome to be able to go and help people no matter if there member or non-member.  I have had some really good studies and thought process about the gospel lately and so this week I would like you share with you one of them.  It's about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and how we NEED a testimony of the Savior Jesus Christ.  There is a quote by Joseph Smith that says, "It is in vain for any man to minister with out the spirit of revelation."  As I was thinking about this quote I thought of a scripture found in the Bible.  It's in John 17:3 It says, "For this is life eternal to know thee thee only true and living God."  As I thought about these two scriptures the thought came to me of understanding the importance of having a testimony of the Savior Jesus Christ.  Think about the book that sets us apart from all other church's.  The Book of Mormon is another TESTAMENT of Jesus Christ.  Our modern day apostles and prophet are called to be special witnesses of the Savior Jesus Christ.  We must have a testimony of the Savior so that we know what our vision is what/who we need to become.  It was this testimony of the Savior that made Peter the man that he was.  We must know and understand who He is and what He did.  I know that my Savior lives and that he loves each and everyone of us.  I know that this church is true and I know that my Savior Jesus Christ lives.  I love my Savior with all my heart.  I invite you to seek out a stronger testimony of the Savior.  Read the Book of Mormon and seek to know who our Savior Jesus Christ is.  I love him and say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.  I love you and hope you have a great week.  With all my love from Virginia.

Compass on Campus

Hey I'm on
I got it
hahaha O mom don't feel like that you will always be my mom.
hahaha forever and always:)  Your e-mail was really good.  What can I do to help devin?
Will you also call UVU and see when the latest it is that I could sign up for classes is?
Why did our Heavenly Father have to Sacrifice his perfect Sons life to save all our souls that were sinful?
I think that is a great idea.  I will be more than happy to do that.  Just remind me please.
that is sweet!!! hahahahaha You two are something else.  What is arista's e-mail?
Got it thanks!!!!

Well it sounds like everything is going pretty good at home.  It sounds like everything is picking up too.  Everyone is leaving for the summer and it's just you and Papa now.  I'm glad that everything went well with your operation.  That is always good.  Also the Jesus the Christ reading is going pretty well.  I'm almost half way through it.  Thanks for following up on that.  Look at you already becoming a missionary.  When are you and Dad going to go on your mission?  Have you started planning that?  Honestly Senior missionaries are the greatest and the biggest help especially in the office but you should probably do a full proselyting mission.  My address is 3705 Monument Ave. Richmond VA, 23230
I have been praying about extending my mission and I have no idea what my final plan is.  I will take your advice to the Lord tonight and hopefully I will come up with something.  The decision has to be made soon though.
This week was a great week we were able to see Omar Andrade baptized this week.  He was so prepared.  The spirit at his baptism was amazing.  We had it Tuesday night right after transfer meeting and the day before my companion went home.  I am no longer companions with Elder Thomas.  Elder Olsen is my new companion.  He is a way sweet missionary and I am way excited to be able to serve with him.  It is going to be a blast.  We had a very interesting night the other night. As we were driving into our area we were talking about faith and having the faith to find. We then set a goal that we were going to find a solid person that wanted to be baptized. The first person we talked to wanted to have a lesson. Then we got done with that one we stand up and talk to another person and they want to have a lesson. Then we stand up again and bam another person wants to have a lesson. It was a young lady that had had a pretty hard day. She didn't believe in God or really know how she could find out that there is one. We talked to her for a while and by the end of it she was very open to finding out if there was a God. It was so amazing to be able to see how eager she was to learn about God, all it takes is us sharing information and promising blessings. It was one of the most fun lessons that I have taught on my mission because me and my companion were teaching in unity and she was eating up everything we said. I know that the Spirit plays an active role in every day life with member or non-member. I know that it is by the spirit that we are able to be instruments in the hand of the Lord and that this work is able to move forward. I know with all my heart that He lives and that His atonement is a real tangible power. I know with all my heart that these things are true and I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
I love you and just encourage you to keep your head up both you and Dad.  I love you both so much.  You have done everything for me.  I feel like I was given the greatest parents in the whole world.  You helped me to see the importance of obedience and doing things the right way the first time and then not having to do them over again.  You helped me understand the importance of doing what is right no matter what opposition I faced.  You taught me to fight and work for what I wanted in life and to not just role over and play dead.  The greatest thing that you have taught me is the importance of being me and loving it.  I love you so very much.  You have done so much for and know that I pray for you.  I hope that everything is going great and please don't get to old before I get home.  We still have a lot of great memories to make as a family like all 7 of us sitting in the celestial room together looking at each other and knowing that we are in the house of God.  I love you so much and hope you have a great week.  With all my love from Virginia.

Say what?
It's at this place called the compass on campus.  It's literally where thousands of students walk through on a daily bases.  We just post up there and talk to everyone.
Well I got to go.  I love you so much I hope that you have a great week.  You are the best.  With all my love.

Happy Easter!

I'm on

So I got your little update as you were at the hospital but I didn't get your major e-mail...  That is way sweet that you out shot dad.  Good for you!  Dad must be getting a little old....  Just kidding.  I hope that everything is going great in your life.  It sounds like you almost have all the kids out of your hair for the summer which is fun.  How is school going?  Your coming up on the end of the year... One of your busiest times.  That will be fun though.
What a great weekend.  There is nothing better to be able to watch conference on Easter Sunday.  It was so amazing!!!!  The messages that were shared were so inspiring and absolutely amazing.  It was so great to be able to hear the words of the Prophets.  So many thoughts rang true.  I know that this is the true church of God that has been restored here on this earth.  It is such a blessing to know these simple truths in a word that is so crazy.
The miracle of this week is about a Muslim guy that we are teaching.  Last week we were about ready to go into sacrament meeting and this lady walked up to me.  She began talking to me and asked me if I worked with the YSA's.  She introduced me to her boyfriend named Mohamid and said that he was ready and willing to be taught.  My companion and I were kind of hesitant to teach a Muslim we talk to a lot of them on Campus and they usually have a really hard time with Jesus Christ being the Son of God.  When we taught Mohamid we decided to begin the lesson with the "because he lives" video.  The spirit was brought so strongly and Mohamid completely agreed to being baptized.  He said that he would read and pray daily.  It was such an amazing lesson.  I know that the spirit comes through in such a magnificent way when you talk about the Savior Jesus Christ.  I know that this church is true and being a missionary is the greatest thing in the whole world. This work goes forward as we act in faith and teach restored truths.  I know that Book of Mormon is the word of God and that it will help us to draw closer to our Heavenly Father and I know with all my heart that He lives and that He changed everything.  It is such a blessing to have a true knowledge of the only true and living God.  I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.  I hope that you have a great week!!!!  So there's one last thing that I want to run past you this week.  I have been thinking about extending my mission.  I have talked to my mission President and he said what ever I decide we will do.  I want to know what your thoughts are on this.  Now don't tell me what you want but what the Lord tells you should happen.  I love you and thank you so much for being such a great mother.  You are amazing.  With all my love from Virginia.
